THE CAT BEHIND THE TICKER
Okay, who is this little guy?
In the project’s fictional story, MEW is the cat hero of a world dominated by dogs. Its narrative pits MEW against Shibatoni and his henchmen. These are fictional characters, not real-world events.
WHY THIS CAT STUCK
A white cat with a dog empire to overthrow.
MEW’s own site casts its cat against Shibatoni and a dog-run world, then extends that setting through artwork and Mew Tails. Our read: the hook is a recurring character and conflict that can support more than one joke.
